PURPOSE: A method for acquiring adjacent base station items is provided to perform a handoff efficiently without stopping of a signal service. CONSTITUTION: The method for acquiring a base station item adjacent to an added base station comprises the steps of: storing base station items adjacent to plural base stations and associated time stamp into each base station; transmitting a required message having a time stamp of an adjacent base station item stored in an added base station; transmitting a confirmation response indicating no adjacent base station item; transmitting a confirmation response message of a stored adjacent base station item and a time stamp to the base station transmitting the require message; and storing, if receiving a stored adjacent base station item and a time stamp of a confirmation response message, the stored adjacent base station item and the time stamp as database statement details for the base station transmitting the confirmation response message.
