PURPOSE: A meter for an automatic meter reading system is provided, which can check a power amount used by user which uses a midnight power. CONSTITUTION: A meter for an automatic meter reading system comprises: an instrument (10) for measuring a used power amount; a timer (50) for counting a current time; a memory (40) for divided a general storage region (41) into a midnight storage region; a receiving unit (80) for receiving an information from a repeater; a transmission unit (70) for transmitting a certain information to the repeater; and a microcomputer (40) for storing the used power amount information of the instrument (10) to the general storage region (42) or the midnight storage region (42) and for successively transmitting the used power amount stored in the general storage region (41) and the midnight storage region (42) through the transmission unit (70) to the repeater when a transmission request of a meter reading amount is received from the repeater. Therefore, the midnight power use and using time is simply set, and then the used power amount in the midnight power using time and the used power amount in the general time is simply divided to transmit to a main system.
