PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pit cover device for a movable lift device capable of attaining safe inspection and maintenance of a large vehicle and smooth movement. SOLUTION: This movable lift device is formed so that one fixed lift 2 may be mounted on one end of an opening in a pit 1 formed in a floor surface and the other movable lift 3 may be movably-mounted along the opening, wherein respective ends 5a, 5b of a first roller chain 5 and a second roller chain 6 wound around sprockets 4a, 4b in which driving sources 8 are connected near one end and at the other end in the pit 1 are bound to the front and rear of the movable lift 3, the respective other ends 5b, 6b of the roller chains 5, 6 suspended from the sprockets 4a, 4b are hung from the above so as to be bound, and a plurality of lid elements 7 having square cross sections are connected which includes both the ends of the roller chains 5, 6 movably-engaged with both the edges of the opening.
