PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly and stably measure the depth of a sensor by detecting marks attached to a cable with specified intervals. SOLUTION: A pulley 10, a pulley retainer 11 and a photo-sensor 12 are mounted on and fixed to a mounting plate 16. White tapes which are members to reflect the infrared ray are attached to a cable with specified intervals (for example, at each meter). The photo-sensor 12 detects the while tapes attached to the cable to measure the depth of a magnetic sensor. A metal sensor 19 is also provided, and a metallic material such as an aluminum foil as the mask attached to the cable can be detected thereby. In addition, the depth of the magnetic sensor can be measured by detecting the number of revolution of the pulley using an encoder.
