PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and surely take X-ray radiographs of high picture quality with the high sharpness and high resolution required of, e.g. mammography. SOLUTION: In an X-ray radiographing system, the pixel sizes of a flat panel detector(FPD) 2 are 100μm or less. The aperture of each pixel of the flat panel detector is 70% or more. The flat panel detector is of a pixel structure assembling a plurality of pixels and having a detection space where the assembled pixels make contact. Further, a liquid-crystal display 5 is connected to the flat panel detector(FPD) 2 and an X-ray radiograph just taken can be displayed on the liquid-crystal display 5. Therefore, an X-ray radiograph wherein average gradation connecting a point where 0.25 is added to the lowest concentration to a point where 2.0 is added to the lowest concentration is 2.8 to 3.6 and average gradation connecting a point where 0.25 is added to the lowest graduation to a point where 0.5 is added to the lowest gradation is 1.9 or more, with a maximum concentration of 2.8 to 4.5, can be obtained on silver salt film.
