摘要 <p>PURPOSE: An orienting method of liquid crystal adjacent to a surface of an optical orientation layer is provided to achieve excellent orientation in exposure on ultraviolet ray using a material of the layer. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of exposing one and more optical orienting layer including anisotropic absorption molecule on polarization light having a wavelength belonging to an absorption band of the molecule to induce liquid crystal media direction along a surface of the optical orienting layer, and coating liquid crystal media on the optical orienting layer. The anisotropic absorption molecule originally includes one and more kind of diarill ketone.</p>
