In an electrical control and regulation apparatus for a plant delivering heat energy from a primary source having associated thermostats, programmed time switching and/or various selectable user or user group temperature regulation functions and also a corresponding number of separately serviceable operating units, the innovation is that the control and regulation apparatus comprises at least one logic evaluation circuit for switching signals which are set in accordance with an automatic time programme, arbitrarily or independently in a selectable combination by a manually operated switch for the purpose of bringing about optionally differently adjustable degrees of heating in accordance with a timer programme, on the one hand, and with the operating mode "frost protection" on the other, the evaluation circuit being acted on at its input by an electronic timer and being assembled as a group of cascades of a plurality of connecting units with branches and interfaces, and the interfaces being connected to outputs a) of an operating element for switching the timer signal, b) of a first switch between "operating modes", c) of a second switch between reference voltages in conjunction with an electrical temperature sensor and a logic component as branching element for a connecting unit and also d) to the output of a power source, controlled by the interfaces, for displaying a function of the plant.
