PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a flat print face without a warp by absorbing, with a stress absorption groove, an internal stress of a platen when molding. SOLUTION: A platen 3 is provided with stress absorption grooves 3d, 3d of a predetermined breadth and a predetermined depth at an upper and a lower positions outside a printable range D corresponding to a breadth of a printing element. A print face 3a is thus formed. An internal stress generated after an elastic member 3b of the platen 3 is molded can be absorbed by the stress absorption grooves 3d, 3d, so that the print face 3a can be formed flat.
