PIEZOELECTRIC SOUND GENERATOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A piezoelectric sound generator and manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent a substantial diameter of a metallic vibrator from getting smaller. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive is applied to a taper surface(6g) and an opposite surface(6h) forming an inner wall of a circumferential wall(6b) of a front side case(6). An adhesive layer(15) is formed by heating and drying the adhesive. A metallic vibration plate(8a) of a piezoelectric vibrator is fixed to the taper surface(6g) by pressing the circumferential part of the vibration plate on the adhesive layer. Sequentially, a circumferential wall(7b) of a rear side case(7) is fitted to the inner wall of the circumferential wall(6b) of the front side case(6). The opposite surface(6h) of the circumferential wall(6b) of the front side case(6) and an outer surface(7i) of the circumferential wall(7b) of the rear side case(7) are formed in such a manner that the opposite surface(6h) is located outside of the virtual surface(I) which is formed by a locus of a front end portion(7j) of the outer surface(7i) of the circumferential wall(7b) when fitting the rear side case(7) to the front side case(6), and the adhesive applied to the opposite surface(6h) is prevented from being extruded into a groove portion(G).
