PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hollow conjugate yarn having a high percentage of hollowness, hardly causing hollow cracks by melting and extruding polymers so that a low-viscosity side polymer forms a part of an area at a hollow part formation side of a slit hole and the other high-viscosity side polymer forms the other residual part of the slit hole. SOLUTION: In producing a hollow conjugate yarn by melting and extruding thermoplastic polymers such as polyesters or the like having melt viscosities mutually different by 50-1,000 poise from an extrusion hole for a hollow yarn constituting one or more slit holes, the lower-viscosity side polymer A forms at least a part of an area at a hollow part formation side of the slit hole and the other higher-viscosity side polymer B forms the residual part of the slit hole to give the objective hollow conjugate yarn. The ratio of the low-viscosity side amounting to the area at the hollow part formation side of the slit hole is 20-95% and the weight ratio of the conjugate (the lower-viscosity polymer/the higher-viscosity polymer) is preferably 30/70 to 70/30.
