PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive shaft capable of facilitating assembling work by simplifying a structure. SOLUTION: This drive shaft has a sleeve yoke 1 and a shaft yoke 2 slidingly fitted in the axial direction, weld yokes 3 installed in these end parts, safety covers 6, 7 surrounding the sleeve yoke 1 and the shaft yoke 2 by being installed outside in the radial direction of the respective weld yokes 3 and being slindingly fitted in the axial direction and a slider 8 interposed between the safety covers 6, 7 and the weld yokes 3. In this case, the projecting part projecting in the radial direction is arranged in either one of the inside surface running in the radial direction of the safety covers 6, 7 or the outside surface running in the radial direction of the slider 8, and the recess part for fitting/engaging with the projecting part is arranged in the other.
