PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive force control device which is adaptable for even a vehicle installed with a stepwise variable automatic transmission. SOLUTION: A setting means 2 sets a desired throttle opening degree on a flat road in accordance with a detected degree of manipulation of an accelerator as a normal desired throttle opening degree. A computing means 4 computes, as a desired throttle opening degree for a slope, a desired throttle opening degree with which a desired drive force for a slope is generated, if a drive force which is obtained by adding a drive force compensating value having a percent lower than 100% corresponding to a detected weight gradient resistance, to a vehicle drive force at the normal desired drive force is set to the desired drive force for the slope. Further, a carry-out means 5 actually obtains the desired throttle opening degree for the slope, which is thus computed.
