MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR 1,2-NAPHTHOQUIONONE-2-DIAZID DERIVATIVE

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method is provided to manufacture efficiently the 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide derivative or the sulfo-substitute from a 2-diazo-1-naphthalene sulfonate or the sulfo-substitute. CONSTITUTION: The 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide derivative is manufactured by: treating a 2-diazo-1-naphthalene sulfonate derivative in an alkali solution containing at least one material selected from an iodine or an iodine compound; and adding an oxidant to the alkali solution containing at least one material selected from the iodine or the iodine compound while being difficult to be solved in water while being a compound with the iodine dissolved in an organic solvent difficult to react to the iodine and the alkali solution.
