PURPOSE: A wing traverse device is provided to obtain a proper conical package with an excellent shape. CONSTITUTION: A wing traverse has:two backlashed yarn guiding wings(10a,10b); an elliptic slave gear(14) installed on the input part of the yarn guiding wings; an elliptic motor gear(16) installed on the output part of a drive motor(21) and interlocked by the slave gear;:Herein, the traverse speed is changed toward the shaft of a package(2) by pulsatory rotating of the yarn guiding wings by the gears(14,16).
