PURPOSE:To allow an operator to easily detect faults and to deal with them by alarming and displaying the fact that the faults occur on either of information transmitting means on an operating/display device. CONSTITUTION:A main controller 100 carries out the transmission/reception of information with the operating/display device 101, a document processor 102, a copy classifying device 103, a copy sequence controller 104, a paper feeder 105, and respective information transmitting means 106-110. Thus, the main controller 100 and a follower controller group carry out the transmission and reception of a necessary command as necessary. However, when the defect in connection, damage, etc., of the information transmitting means 106-110 occur, the transmission/reception of the necessary command are not carried out. At this time, the main controller 100 always monitors the information transmitting means 106-110, the alarm-display is carried out on the operating/display device 101 via the information transmitting means 106 when the connection defect, damage, etc., occur. Thus, the detection of the faults of the information transmitting means and the alarm-display to the operator are effectively carried out. |
