PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join a metal-ceramic composite material to ceramics. SOLUTION: A metal-ceramic composite material is joined to ceramics by interposing Ti powder or Ti hydride powder between them and carrying out heating at 700-900 deg.C in a flow of gaseous nitrogen. When the metal-ceramic composite material forms a preform, the ceramics is brought into contact with one side of the preform, Ti powder or Ti hydride powder is spread on the other side and an Al-base alloy is infiltrated from the top of the powder or an Al-base alloy contg. Ti is infiltrated from the other side of the perform.
