PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey a slitted coil without lengthening the claw of an arm. SOLUTION: This coil hanger 11 moves arms 11a, 11b so as to bring them closer together and inserts the respective claws 11aa, 11ba into the openings of a coil to convey the coil. One arm 11a is provided with an advancing/ retreating mechanism 11c, which permits a chain 11d mounted inside one arm 11a and capable of being bent in only one direction to move in a protruding manner from the claw 11aa of one arm 11a to the claw 11ba of the other arm 11b. The other arm 11b is provided with a locking mechanism 11e protruding from the claw 11aa of one arm 11a by the advancing/retreating mechanism 11c and fixing the front end of the chain 11d inserted into the other arm 11b from the other claw 11ba. It is thus possible to convey a slitted coil without lengthening the claw of the arm, thereby reducing the space between coils in a storage site for an effective use of the storage site.
