PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device control method in information processing system, a device in the same and a software storage medium, by which the operating mode of a host can be automatically set corresponding to the operating mode of a device and the device can be controlled by the host in the optimum operating mode. SOLUTION: In step S1, a device is accessed by a host and in step S2, a control software is downloaded, by the device accessed by the host, to the host. In step S3, the control software downloaded by the device to the host is executed. When the control software is executed, the language mode of the host is set corresponding to the language mode of the device in steps S31-S35, and the device is controlled by the host based on the language-set control software in step S36.
