PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the magnetic leakage high-voltage transformer small-sized by eliminating the insulation distance between the high-potential coil and core of the high-voltage transformer. SOLUTION: A core combined with an I-type core 12 inserted into the hole of a bobbin 15 wound with a primary coil 13 and a secondary coil 14 is a right- left asymmetrical E-type core 11, and an intermediate leg 11c as a bypass magnetic path for magnetic flux is shorter than the left and right legs 11a and 11b. For the secondary core 14 with a high potential, the E-type core 11 secures dielectric strength with an insulation distance 17.
