PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a large exchange coupling energy between a ferromagnetic layer and anti-ferromagnetic layer, a large MR (magnetoresistive) ratio and excellent spin valve film characteristics, when the anti-ferromagnetic layer is made of PtMn, NiMn or alloy thereof. SOLUTION: A film 2 is a spin value type magnetoresistive film of multiple layers which includes a non-magnetic metallic layer 30, a ferromagnetic layer 40 formed on one surface of the non-magnetic metallic layer, a soft magnetic layer 20 formed on the other surface of the non-magnetic metallic layer, an anti-ferromagnetic layer 50 formed on a surface of the layer 40 opposed to the layer 30 adjacent thereto in order to pin a magnetizing direction of the layer 40, and an anti-ferromagnetization promoting layer 19 formed on a surface of the layer 50 opposed to the layer 40 adjacent thereto. The layer 50 is made of a compound of a CuAu-I type regular crystalline structure containing Mn, and generates exchange coupling with the layer 40. |
