PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor which enables improvement of the precision of the axial perpendicularity of a motor shaft and, further, reduction of its thickness. SOLUTION: The output end side of the motor shaft 20 of a spindle motor 10 with brushes is made to protrude through a shaft draw-out hole 48 opening on the top end surface of a motor case 40. Further, a radial bearing 22 which supports the output end side of the motor shaft 20 is held by an attachment plate 50 fixed to the top end surface of the motor case 40.
