PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a document processing environment capable of effectively using external characters corresponding to purposes. SOLUTION: Information (document information 331 to external character information 332) indicating which external character data are used for specific document data (documents A, C, D) out of plural document data is stored in a management table 33 for every document data and external character data (e.g. external character 1) used for a specific document (e.g. the document B) are loaded by referring to the stored information. When external character data used for the specific document (e.g. the document D) are not stored in the table 33, another external character data (external character data of a default external character data table (external character 3)) are loaded. Thus an external character set allowed to be used in each document is switched. A constitution capable of adding a painter for pointing out external character data to be loaded to the document data to the document data instead of the management table 33 is also available. |
