PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bright display screen or to reduce the power consumption without increasing the thickness of a backlight and moreover the thickness of an LCD module. SOLUTION: Recessed parts 51 are provided in a light guide plate 5 at parts to which end parts of a reflector 4 for leading lights from a light source 3 in full are to be fixed and the end parts of the reflector 4 are made to be burried in that parts. Then, the utilization efficiency of lights is enhanced, a bright display screen is obtained or the power consumption in the light source 3 can be reduced without increasing the thickness of the backlight and moreover the thickness of the whole of the LCD module by increasing the thickness of the light transmission plate 5 by an amount with which the thickness of the reflector 4 is reduced.
