PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the decision precision of a red-eye phenomenon. SOLUTION: Pieces of information on an object distance and the focal length of a lens used for photography are read in from a magnetic recording area of a film, and according to those pieces of information, the interval Y between both the eyes for an object in the read image is calculated. Further, red areas 1201a', 1201b', 1203', 1204a', and 1204b" are extracted from the read image. Then it is decided that the red areas 1201a' and 1201b' whose mutual distance is Y are red-eye areas. |
