PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric polyester film for a capacitor that does not cause blocking, and to further provide a capacitor using the dielectric polyester film. SOLUTION: In this dielectric polyester film for a capacitor, a surface or both surfaces of the polyester film are coated with polyester paint. A polyester resin forming the polyester paint has a Tg between 0 and 40 deg.C and an average molecular weight between 1,000 and 17,000 (referred to as a polyester resin A). For the surface roughness, the coated layer surface of the polyester resin has a surface roughness (Ra) between 20 and 60 nm at the center line, and a P-V value is not more than 15 times the Ra. |
