PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the stator cover of a rotating electric machine whose stator core is provided between 1st and 2nd brackets on which coupling protrusions with which both end outer circumferences in the axial direction of the stator core are coupled are integrally formed respectively of synthetic resin to reduce its cost and weight and, further, align the stator cover with the stator core accurately to attach the stator cover to the stator core. SOLUTION: A stator cover 16 which has a belt-shape with a width corresponding to the axial direction length of a stator core 14 and has recessed parts 30C, 30D, 31C and 31D which are recessed inward widthwise on both of its end parts in order to be coupled with the respective coupling protrusions 24C, 24D, 27C and 27D of 1st and 2nd brackets 12 and 13 is wound and stuck onto the outer circumferential surface of the stator core 14. A mark corresponding to at least one of a plurality of corner parts on the outer circumferential surface of the stator core 14 is formed on the stator cover 16.
