PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice output device which can represent a real effect via a small number of speakers to show a speaker on a display screen as if he really speaks. SOLUTION: When a TV conference is started with an opposite party 105 of communication via a set top box 106, an image of the party 105 is projected on an image display reflector 101. At the same time, the ultrasonic waves on which the voices of the party 105 are superimposed are outputted through a left speaker 102 and a right speaker 103. Under such conditions, the sound source output directions of both speakers 102 and 103 are set toward the reflector 101 where the party 105 is projected. The ultrasonic waves outputted from the speakers 102 and 103 are reflected on the reflector 101 and sent to a listener 104 side. The listener 104 hears the voices of the party 105 as if they were directly outputted from the reflector 101.
