PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect the information of a customer who purchases merchandise through a vending machine, and to plan a proper sales strategy by obtaining and storing data related to customer's identification information, the purchased merchandise and the quantity from a storage medium and transmitting the data to a data base center when the customer feeds a storage medium and money to the vending machine and purchases the merchandise. SOLUTION: A customer has a personal customer's card 4 previously delivered to each customer. At the time of purchasing merchandise, the customer inserts money and the customer's card 4 into a vending machine 10. The customer's card 4 stores the identification number of the customer and various kinds of information related to the purchase of merchandise is temporarily stored in the vending machine 10 by relating it with the identification number. The vending machine 10 transmits the information to a data base center 50 for every prescribed time (for example, once a day). The data base center 50 arranges the transmitted information, stores it in each data base and analyzes the data as necessary.
