PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely install a transmission antenna and a reception antenna even in a small place and to efficiently transmit interrogation signals to a radio tag and receive response signals transmitted from the radio tag by three- dimensionally arranging the transmission antenna and the reception antenna and reducing the area of a plane facing the radio tag. SOLUTION: For every time when high frequency signals including the interrogation signals are outputted from an interrogator 4, the radio signals of a microwave band are transmitted from a transmission patch for constituting a transmission/reception antenna 5 toward the radio tag 2. When the radio signals of microwaves of a frequency band close to the radio signals and a different modulation system including the response signals are transmitted from the radio tag 2, the radio signals are received by a reception patch 9 for constituting the transmission/reception antenna 5 and detected and demodulated by a receiver 6.
