AUXILIARY LOADING MECHANISM OF CARTRIDGE AND ITS INSERTING/ELECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely insert and eject a cartridge against a drive device as to an auxiliary loading mechanism of the cartridge and the inserting/ejecting method in the drive device of a library device. SOLUTION: In the auxiliary loading mechanism of the cartridge constituted so as freely to insert/eject the cartridge whereon a recording medium is housed against the prescribed mounting position of the drive device, the drive device 1 is furnished with an arm 1a-2 positioned at the back surface of the cartridge 30 on the rear end part of the mounting part in the cartridge mounted state for assisting the inserting/ejecting operation, and also an arm driving means 1a-1 is provided for moving the arm 1a-2 to the prescribed position in accordance with the inserting and ejecting operations of the cartridge 30 and also for locking it at this position.
