PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium in which a time- recording-position contrast table suitable for specifying a section skip is recorded together with coded data. SOLUTION: An editing operation which installs a skip section is performed to an information recording means in which at least one time-recording-position contrast table composed of one or more contrast data at every fixed time interval and of time correction data is recorded in a recording region which is different from the recording region of block data. In this case, the read-out time-recording-position contrast table is divided so as to correspond to an indicated skip period. Contrast data which indicates block data in the indicated skip period is deleted. Second time correction data is computed so as to correspond to the skip period, and it is combined with contrast data after the deleted contrast data. A new time-recording-position contrast table is created, and it is rewritten to the recording medium together with a time-recording-position contrast table which is precious in terms of time from the deleted data.
