PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment where an originating source number against a facsimile equipment is used, a polling transmission data accumulation completion notice function is realized, the interval of an accumulation completion notice is changed in accordance with accumulated data quantity and the occurrence of wasteful load is eliminated on a request-side. SOLUTION: When a device connected to the telephone number of an opposite party and the registered telephone number stores the presence or absence of a polling transmission function, and detects the originating source telephone number sent by origination number notice service, and when a call is from the telephone number registered as the device having the polling transmission function, the setting value of the number of ringing detection times is changed, and a ringing signal is monitored for prescribed time. When the ringing signal which is below the changed setting value is inputted, a polling reception operation is executed on the number after the ringing signal terminates.
