PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry and arrange an alarm announcing device at an arbitrary place for allowing an aged person or a patient to call someone in a house, or for generating an alarm sound in emergency. SOLUTION: A large push button 3 is provided on the upper face of a flat case 2 which can be made stable when placed, and when this push button is depressed, an alarm sound is generated from a piezoelectric buzzer housed in a case 2. The volume of this alarm sound can be adjusted by a volume adjusting knob 10 provided on the side face. This device is constituted in a compact shape to be operated by a battery so that this device can be carried to anywhere. Thus, an aged person can place this device close to himself at an arbitrary place where he moves for using this device for calling someone in a house or for generating an alarm in emergency.
