PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper money receiving/dispensing machine capable of setting a transaction operation by transaction sorts and denominations in accordance with attached storages and increasing/decreasing the number of storages. SOLUTION: This paper money receiving/dispensing machine 1 is provided with circular paper money carriers 501 (501a to 501k) for carrying paper monies passed through a paper money discriminating part 3 in one direction, respective storages such as a deposit storage 6, a payment storage 7, a recylce storage 8, a reject storage 9, and a loading/recovery storage 11 are optionally selected, combined and arranged along these paper money carriers 501, an operation method can be set in accordance with a selected and combined set state, respective storages are stacked in the vertical direction, and the sorts and numbers of storages can be optionally increased or decreased.
