PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the magnetic recorder of a camera constituted so that necessary and sufficient data can be magnetically recorded while maintaining the reliability thereof. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a grouping means 1 grouping the photographed data of the camera into plural data groups, a recording data set means 3 setting the photographed data belonging to which data group out of the plural groups grouped by the grouping means 1 is magnetically recorded on a film and a magnetic recording means 4 magnetically recording the photographed data belonging to the data group set by the set means 3 on the film.
