PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the numerical value of larger figures with smaller number of figures and to display it understandably by displaying the numerical value of low-order figures displayable with a number displaying means and the numerical value of high-order figures which exceeds the prescribed number of figures alternately. SOLUTION: When power is supplied, an instantaneous flow rate is displayed on a seven-segment display 56. Moreover, it is indicated that the contents displayed on the seven-segment display 56 are the instantaneous flow rate by turning a PV lamp and an L/min on also. When a DISP switch is pushed, the numerical value of the low-order four figures of an integrated flow rate is outputted to the seven-segment display 56 in order to changeover the display to the display of the integrated flow rate and, for example, [1234] is made to be displayed on it. After about one second is elapsed, the numerical value of the high-order figures of the integrated flow rate which exceeds four figures is outputted to the display 56 to perform an identification display. For example, the numerical value [56] of the high-order figures is displayed on the display 56 and at the same time an identification sign [-] indicating that the low-order figures exist is displayed on it by two pieces.
