PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer device for a vehicle, in which the indication state of a pointer becomes a completely different look between the time a light source used to make light incident on a pointer body is turned on until the time the light source is turned off. SOLUTION: In a pointer 30, a rotation base part 32, which is supported by the tip part of a pointer shaft 41 is provided, and a pointer body 31 which is extended so as to protrude from the rotation base part 32 is provided. The pointer body 31 is formed of a light conducting material. A light emitting diode 36 emits light towards the tip part of the pointer body 31 from the recessed part 32c of the rotation base part 31. Then, a colored layer 35 is formed along the rear 31b of the pointer body 31 and along the rear 32b of the turning base body 32, and the colored layer 35 reflects the light from the light emitting diode 36 as colored light. A semitransparent mirror layer 34 is formed along a surface 31a of the pointer body 31 and along a surface 32a of the rotation base part 32. The semitransparent mirror layer 34 transmits the colored light from the colored layer 35.
