PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detector which is improved in both thermal responsiveness and durability and is contrived not to damage an object to be measured. SOLUTION: A temperature detector is constituted by fixing a thermistor 2 to the front end of one surface of a narrow and long metallic sheet 1 the base section of which is supported by a holding member 6 formed by molding an insulating material and connecting the lead wires 4a and 4b to external output lines 13a and 13b provided to the holding body 6 on the side opposite to the metallic plate 1 after leading the wires 4a and 4b to the holding body 6 side along the surface of the metallic plate 1. In addition, a heat-sensitive section 15 is formed on the surface of the metallic plate 1 on the side opposite to the thermistor 2 by smoothing the surface.
