PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly retrieve image data, without unnecessarily increasing traffic. SOLUTION: An image recording unit 3 is composed of a control device 13, a small capacity recording device 14 of relatively small capacity, consisting of, for example, a hard disk device, and a large capacity recording device 15 having sufficiently larger recording capacity than the small capacity recording device 14 which consistes of an optical magnetic recording device of an automatic changer system equipped with, for example, plural optical magnetic disks. These are connected to one another by way of a LAN 5, the control device 13 monitors a state of each unit 2, 3 and 4, controls the small capacity recording device 14 and the large capacity recording device 15 during inspection by a picture input unit 2, and stores image data of past patients necessary for retrieval in the small capacity recording device 14. |
