PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of eliminating various kinds of failure by preventing the curling of an ejected recording medium. SOLUTION: In this fixing device equipped with a driving side fixing roller 1 and a driven-side pressure roller 2, the roller 2 is arranged to be freely rocked with respect to the roller 1, and the device is provided with a rocking driving means (a gear 3, a sector gear 4 and a stepping motor 9) rocking the roller 2. By rocking the roller 2, positional relation between the rollers 1 and 2 and a pair of paper ejection rollers 8 is changed in accordance with environmental change, and the curl of the recording medium ejected from the fixing device is prevented to eliminate various kinds of failure.
