PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which has improved serviceability of a system by reading related data by referring to storage contents of a storage means, processing them and changing the storage contents when a system capacity different from the storage contents is demanded. SOLUTION: A button telephone main device body 20 is equipped with an RAM 19 as a first and second storage means having a data area for storing data. With regard to arrangement of set information of the RAM 19, the number of facilities and position information for a memory needed for performing exchange processing of them is stored. It becomes possible to provided the button telephone main device which can deal with the different capacity with a same software and in which each of necessary memory is optimized respectively. Since function addition and deficiency correction accompanied with revision of the software needs to be performed once even when plural capacity types of machines are dealt with, development efficiency and a deficiency correction time are largely improved and the costs are lowered.
