PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that protects a rotor by a simple and secure means and can be reliably manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: In a rotary electric machine, that is provided with a stator with coil winding for generating a rotary magnetic field and with rotors 2 and 3 provided in a spindle 1 which is rotated by the rotary magnetic field of the stator, the outer periphery of the rotors 2 and 3 is covered with a heat- shrinkable tube 4 made of plastic, thus surely sealing and protecting the rotors 2 and 3 through simple operation, as compared with method such as sealing by conventional painting, tape winding, and metal canning. Since the heat- shrinkable tube 4 uses a plastic material and has satisfactory elasticity, the heat-shrinkable tube 4 is not damaged by the thermal expansion of a secondary conductor during operation, is hard to peel off, and has extremely high stability for use over a long period, as compared with the conventional methods which use painting or the like.
