<p>A steel spiral is embedded in a plastics injection moulded bearing housing, the housing having a bearing seat concentric to the housing bore. A plastics, pre-mfd. carrier ring (2,20) is also embedded in the bearing housing (1,26) with the steel spiral (3) located at its surface. The bore of the carrier ring forms at least part of the bearing seat face of the housing. Two roller ball bearings (5,6) are cast into the housing, adjacent to each other and in the bore of the carrier ring.
