FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: seal has body that closes in operation around cable joint and at least one cable clamp incorporating strip wrapped around at least one cable brought into body. Body closure automatically makes each strip tighten up on respective cable thereby compressing the latter. Clamp strip is made for reducing its length during wrapping and tightening around cable; in the action it is spliced and tightened up around cable. EFFECT: improved packing of seal. 10 cl, 29 dwg
