A junction of a dry cell constituted in such a way that each of the positive and negative electrodes has a pole protruding from the main body of the cell and surrounded by an external wall made of an insulating material and having a height slightly greater than that of the pole (Figs. 1 and 2). The outside diameter of the negative electrode is made slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the external wall on the positive electrode side (Fig. 2) so that the positive and negative electrodes may come into contact with each other. In addition, the outside diameter of the external wall on the positive electrode side is made smaller than the inside diameter of the external wall on the negative electrode side so that the external wall of the positive electrode side may not interfere with that on the negative electrode side (Fig. 2). As a result, the positive and negative electrodes of two dry cells do not come into contact with each other unless the electrodes are connected to each other in a head-to-tail state, thus preventing the occurrence of troubles when the electrodes of the same polarity are connected to each other, such as cell explosion, or accidents caused by high temperature. |
