PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester resin compsn. which, in manufacturing a polyester film decreases an eluting component from the polyester film, and suitable for packaging purpose, especially for food packaging purpore. SOLUTION: The polyester resin compsn. comprises a naphthalene dicarboxylic acid as a main acid component at 1,3-propanedicarboxylic acid as a main glycol component, and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4-0.8, and the quantity of its extract treated with an ion exchanged water in an extraction condition of 125 deg.C×1 hr is not higher than 0.15 mg/inch2. |
