PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the gas storage quantity per volume, to make a facility compact and inexpensive and to reduce the site area by repeating the adsorption and desorption in advance within a range of the storage pressure and the feed pressure in a pressure vessel, and equalizing the composition of the fuel gas. SOLUTION: In the gas holders 1-A through 1-D, the city gas, natural gas or the like including methane as its main component can be stored in a pressurized state by the adsorbing material packed inside of the holders. The adsorbing operation and the desorbing operation of natural gas are repeated in advance under the pressure between the gas storage pressure and the gas feed pressure by using the gas holders including the adsorbing material. By performing this process, the adsorbing performance of the adsorbing material can be stabilized, and the composition of the desorption (quantity of heat) can be stabilized. When the quantity of heat is below a feed value, it is adjusted by the addition of the vaporized LPG. Thereby, the gas holder of high gas storage quantity per volume can be provided.
