PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake simple in constitution capable of restraining unnecessary deformation of a carrier in braking. SOLUTION: The whole sum of the moment of each very small area dA for a disc pad 3 is determined to compute the rotating moment acting on each torque receiving part 14 as the whole of the disc pad 3. The height H of torque receiving part where the rotating torque is zero, is determined to set the torque receiving part 14 at the height H. By making the rotating moment around each toque receiving part 14 zero, since the input force in the radial direction (direction D as indicated by an arrow head) of a disc rotor to a carrier 4 from the disc pad 3 is thereby zero, the inclination of extended part 11 of the carrier 4 and a hole 13 does not occur with respect to a pin in its turn, each pin is kept coaxially with the hole 13, securing the smooth movement of a caliper. For this reason, the dragging motion of a brake as is brought about by current techniques will never take place, and in its turn, the one-sided abrasion of the disc rotor and the occurrence of judder can thereby be prevented.
|
