INJECTOR AND HOLDER THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy for positioning an injector around the axis and in the axial direction when it is joined to a branch pipe of a fuel supply pipe and prevent a holding metal fitting for holding the injector from being fitted to a wrong position. SOLUTION: In the state where the upper portion of an injector 10 is inserted and connected to a branch pipe 21 of a fuel supply pipe 20, a metal fitting 30 for holding the injector to be installed through the injector and branch piping is provided. The holding metal fitting 30 is provided with a pair of arm portions 31 that interpose the outer periphery of the branch pipe 21 and a pair of arm portions 32 to be inserted into a groove 16 at the side of the injector 10. The spring force acts upon the arm portions 32 in the axial direction of the injector 10 at the side of the branch pipe 21. The connector 17 locates at the height equal to or higher than that of the groove 16. A protrusion 14 to be engaged with a recess portion 36 formed in the holding metal fitting 30 is provided at the position opposite the connector 17 on the peripheral line of the groove 16.
