PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet for thermal transfer recording of which the reflectance factor density has a high value (OD value) at the maximum energy and which is excellent in dot reproducibility at low energy and causes no print stain even in a high-temperature environment, in the use for printing with full color in particular, regarding a sheet for melt thermal transfer recording. SOLUTION: In a sheet for recording having an ink receiving layer on one surface of a base at least, a pigment and a surfactant having water retention properties, at least, are contained in the receiving layer, and the pigment contains an inorganic pigment of which the oil absorption according to JIS K5101 is 50 cc/100 g or above and Mohs' hardness 2 or below or an organic pigment of which the oil absorption is 50 cc/100 g or above, or these two kinds of pigments together, by 30 wt.% or above in pigment constituents. |
